An independent scientific article written by Atium’s research collaborator Vera Roth was recently published in the journal ACS ES&T Water, demonstrating strong effectiveness of Atium’s electrochemical method for capturing mercury from dental wastewater.

The articles concludes that “…this electrochemical method effectively removes mercury not caught by amalgam separators, preventing environmental contamination”, and calls for stricter enforcement of mercury discharge limits to drive adoption in the dental industry.

We’re proud to see that our research-based technology can significantly reduce mercury emissions beyond what’s achievable by conventional amalgam separators. Keep an eye out for more good news!
