Following the approval of our project with Water Wise Societies, adoption among Swedish public dental regions has progressed rapidly. Clinics all across the country are now testing our mercury ion separators and evaluating how dissolved mercury can be removed from their wastewater under real operating conditions.

So far, 13 out of 21 regions have joined the project, with more than 80 ion separators ordered. Pictured is a recent shipment to Folktandvården Region Örebro län; after seeing strong results in our pilot program back in 2024, they have decided to move forward with installations in just about all of their clinics.

The growing participation shows that mercury pollution, and new ways to treat it, is a growing topic in Sweden’s dental sector. More results will be shared as the project unfolds, so stay tuned!
